Consultant Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeon

Anne has trained in ophthalmology since 1995. She graduated from Manchester medical school in 1993, and has worked all over the North West for 12 years. She is a member of the British Oculoplastic Surgical Society (BOPSS), as well as The Royal College of Ophthalmologists, and The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Anne has publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and has presented scientific papers and international lectures in The USA, South America, and Europe.

 

She was appointed as consultant ophthalmic, oculoplastic and orbital surgeon in Manchester Royal Eye Hospital in 2005, where her major surgical workload consists of:   

  • Eyelid surgery - droopy upper eyelids, and in/out-turning of the lids
  • Facial skin lumps and bumps
  • Eyelid & orbital reconstruction following trauma
  • Thyroid eye disease
  • Orbital surgery for tumours / thyroid eye disease
  • Socket reconstructive surgery including hydroxyapatite (coral) implants
  • Eyelid and eyebrow surgery following facial palsy ·
  • Tear drainage surgery for the watery eye
  • Reconstruction of Mohs micrographic defects following tumour removal
  • Cataract surgery (small incision phacoemulsification)

In addition, Anne has an expanding cosmetic workload, consisting of:

  • Cosmetic eyelid/brow surgery
  • Blepharoplasty
  • Anti-wrinkle injections
  • Dermal filler injections
  • Chemical peels
  • Laser / IPL skin rejuvenation treatments
  • Facial lipostructure (Coleman fat injections)
