Pellevé

Pellevé (pronounced Pell - ev - hay) is a new, safe, comfortable skin tightening procedure which helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines without surgery, injections or laser treatments. The side effects and discomfort of the Pellevé treatment are minimal, and no drugs or injections are used during the procedure. The overall result from Pellevé for the majority of clients is a noticeable improvement in skin quality and appearance, and a refreshed feeling.

Pellevé

Using advanced radio wave technology, Pellevé heats the deep layers of your skin without damaging the surface of your skin. Treatment with Pellevé produces a deep warming sensation each time the Pellevé hand piece touches the area being treated. The heat causes the collagen in your skin to contract and tighten which in turn reducing wrinkles and lines. After the treatment, your skin will start to produce new collagen and the result is an improvement in skin quality, skin tightness and skin firmness, which you can see and also feel.

This treatment is ideal for the client who has mild to moderate skin lines, wrinkles and laxity with the appearance of early jowls.

Is it painful?

Unlike other skin tightening treatments, Pellevé doesn’t require any form of anaesthesia. Because the skin is not numb, you can describe the level of deep skin heating to the clinician who is undertaking the treatment and indicate the point at which this becomes uncomfortable. This feedback helps to provide the best results in the area being treated.

Which areas can be treated with Pellevé?

Pellevé can be used to treat the skin of the face including the wrinkled area around the eyes. It can also be used to treat the jowls, the neck and the décolletage (central upper chest) area.

The ideal candidate

Pellevé is best suited to those who are starting to see signs of aging in the face: early jowling, loose skin, creases and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. It is not a substitute for a face lift. If you have heavy jowling, or marked skin laxity of the face and neck, you are unlikely to see much improvement after Pellevé.

What side effects can occur with Pellevé treatment?

Possible side effects of Pellevé radio wave treatment include a mild discomfort during the procedure within the area being treated. There may also be some mild redness and/or swelling for a short period of time after the Pellevé treatment. This will usually disappear within a few hours.

How long does the treatment take?

Your Pellevé skin tightening procedure will usually take about 45 to 60 minutes for a full facial treatment. The treatment of a single area e.g. the jowls, takes about 20 minutes. Pellevé wrinkle reduction programme is suitable for both men and women and, unlike laser treatments and intense pulsed light treatments, it works well on most skin types.

When will I see results?

Many people will start to see results straight after the initial Pellevé treatment with lasting improvement for up to six months as your skin produces new collagen. The Pellevé treatment typically requires 2 or 3 separate sessions, each separated by approximately 6-8 weeks. For most people the results last for up to 6 months or more and the treatment can be repeated. Pellevé has been proven to provide safe and effective skin tightening in published medical studies. Because Pellevé is a non-invasive procedure, meaning no surgery is required and no injections are given, there are minimal side effects and discomfort, and you can return home or go to work immediately following the treatment.

You will receive a free consultation with our aesthetics nurse practitioner, Amanda Baker, who will advise you of your suitability for the Pellevé treatment and the costs, and who will answer any questions you may have.

We also have an excellent range of other non-surgical services and skin care products which may be of interest to you. We can also arrange a consultation with one of our expert surgeons if your problems are better addressed surgically.

Pellevé radio wave wrinkle reduction system has the USA Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for treatment of skin lines and wrinkles.
