At Face & Eye our NHS accredited Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeons have undergone extensive specialist training in the U.K. and in the United States. We are very well qualified to offer the most appropriate procedure for you as an individual, whether that is laser vision correction (LVC), corneal surgery, cataract surgery or glaucoma surgery.
We feel it is important that you have confidence in the surgeon who will perform the surgery. At Face & Eye your assessment will be with the surgeon himself. You will have ample time to ask questions. He will test your eyes to determine whether or not you are a good candidate for cataract surgery or refractive surgery. If he feels that you may be suitable for cataract surgery, clear lens extraction surgery, or laser vision correction, specialised eye tests will be undertaken at the clinic, followed later by the treatment itself.
If your surgeon feels that your eyes are not suitable for LVC this will be discussed with you. However, all our practitioners are very highly skilled consultant surgeons and are able to offer you a range of procedures to correct your vision, as it may well be that other options are more appropriate for you.
We advise that you then to go home and take your time to consider the options, speak to your family and/or other patients, and book a follow-up consultation prior to your surgery.
We will only advise those refractive surgery treatments that we feel are likely to give you the best chance of achieving your goal.
