Anti-Wrinkle Injections
Wrinkle relaxing injections are a well recognised treatment for anyone wanting to get rid of the fine lines and wrinkles that are an unavoidable product of the aging process. The anti-wrinkle injections using botulinum toxin have been used by oculoplastic surgeons for over 15 years.
We have a vast amount of experience in the use of these injections both for cosmetic indications as well as for a variety of neurological conditions e.g. essential blepharospasm. The injections temporarily block the transmission of nerve impulses to the muscles which cause wrinkles and lines allowing these to relax. Normal facial expressions are unaffected.
Treatment is relatively non-invasive, comprising of a small number of tiny injections into the area being treated. Patients can return to work immediately. The effects last for between 3 and 4 months.
