Hyperhidrosis (Excessive sweating)
Our bodies naturally perspire as a way to regulate heat. In some people, natural perspiration is excessive and can be defined as the production of perspiration beyond what is necessary to cool the body. At Face & Eye we use a very fine needle to inject a small amount of botulinum toxin solution into approximately 10 places spread out evenly in each armpit. A course of treatment takes no longer than 2 minutes to administer.
Results are excellent, on average sweat production is reduced by at least half in 95% of cases. The maximum effect is normally seen after a week and the effects begin to wear off after 4 to 6 months.
